E-SPIRIT

Our goal is to provide our customers with the greatest possible independence, freedom, security and development perspectives for enterprise-wide information management systems. The constructive dialog with our customers and partners plays a key role in constantly reviewing our performance and improving it. Even before the actual founding of e-Spirit in 1999 through employees of the Fraunhofer Institute for Software and System Technology we were already successfully involved with distributed information systems in the environment of the latest technologies. The combination of scientific methods for evaluating new standards, and software architectures in the context of real IT projects in the commercial world significantly contribute to the development of long-term usable and extensible IT systems, which meet the core of customers' demands. Since the founding of e-Spirit our team, which for the most part consists of credentialed IT specialists, has concluded many complex and security relevant projects successfully, cost-efficiently, and on schedule. Our competent project leaders bring years of experience gained in many projects to their work in other projects but also to the further development of our standard software FirstSpirit.

The scientifically oriented philosophy of our company prohibited us from allowing such an extensive product as FirstSpirit to grow out of a special customer project: Rather our software architects with rich experience gained from many Fraunhofer projects first considered basic concepts of architecture, components and object models. Analysis was the proper beginning followed by design, and only then implementation. Only in this manner was it possible and will it continue to be possible to further develop FirstSpirit, without having to undergo a technology or paradigm shift. Rather the suggestions and desires of our customers flow specifically into further development of FirstSpirit.

We have proven that FirstSpirit can serve as platform for highly-complex online systems many times over: We can cite the development of the complete online banking system for Santander Direct Bank AG on the basis of FirstSpirit as an example. Not only the HTML front end but also the all the critical applications in the background have been implemented by our team. This extended from consolidation of the customer data repositories to integration of diverse back end systems to connecting the bank's prescribed legal systems.

Our company has set for itself the goal in all customer contacts, to accompany the customer precisely as far as he wants to be accompanied.
