Model
TIBCO BusinessWorks™ allows users to model business integration projects by selecting tasks and relationships from a graphical palette of resources, drop them into a flowchart style interface to create sophisticated process definitions, and then configure them to meet the requirements of the activity they are automating. Process definitions can include conditional "if/then" statements and sub-processes that define commonly performed tasks such as credit checks and inventory reallocation commands. By making services like these available through a central repository, TIBCO BusinessWorks lets users quickly incorporate them into business activities, greatly enhancing developer productivity and ensuring consistency across the organization.
Assemble
TIBCO BusinessWorks™ allows users to assemble higher level processes from pre-built libraries of shared services for faster development cycles. Through a common designer, users can easily establish interfaces to each application in a standard, reusable, and consistent manner. TIBCO BusinessWorks integrates with other TIBCO products for enterprise application integration, data integration, and business-to-business (B2B) integration, enabling users to easily incorporate applications and information sources across and outside their organization into the business activities that they are defining.
Deploy
TIBCO BusinessWorks™ allows users to deploy business integration projects by automatically propagating configuration information to the servers and applications that support the process being automated. After designing and testing all application interfaces and process definitions, users can click a single button that initiates the sequences of tasks required to deliver all interface and definitions to the appropriate servers. This integrated and hassle-free deployment allows for faster iterative development.
Manage
TIBCO BusinessWorks™ manages business integration projects by logging information about business activities and making it available through a Web-based interface so users can monitor performance indicators such as cycle times and resource utilization. This enables them to identify problems and modify process definitions for better efficiency. The software has exception handling and error reporting capabilities built into it. When problems occur the software can execute alternative sequences of tasks to resolve or work around the problem, and can notify administrators to take appropriate action. The software has fault tolerance and load balancing capabilities to distribute tasks to multiple engines to keep demand on any one engine manageable. It can automatically start up new engines if demand increases beyond the capabilities of currently available engines.
